Went out this am as was quiet here in the land of 25 mph/60 degree crosswinds. Not to hot yet. Did some airwork. Don't remember ever doing a power on stall in a Tcart. Nose really gets pointed way up. About 5 mph lower at quitin' time.
Had a little low level fun ( all strictly legal, you understand,) and then back for a few landings.
Handn't flown for about 2 weeks (don't even ask,) so I bounced and recovered the first one. Little bounce on the second. Was bumpy and variable out from morning heat so I was a little hesitant to slow it down too much. Finally whispered it over the lights and plopped it on really short. Man it's easy to forget how really slow you have to get that wing to flare through ground effect without sliding along the top. When I came over the lights (one gear on each side I think,) the airspeed was way down in the LITTLE numbers. Amazing airpane, just keeps flying.
Sometimes when you get busy taking care of the mundane stuff for a while it is easy to forget how good the real fun stuff is.
