Last Monday, I bought a 1941 Taylorcraft Deluxe. It has a very tired manual start Continental A-65 that my mechanic says cannot go back on the airplane until it's overhauled. I have a mid-time 85 HP and am in the process of getting the paperwork together to install an electric start C-85-12. It will have a Skytec lightweight starter and a new C-85 motor mount from Univar. Awaiting the STC from "Harer" or "Haber" (I forget his name but he lives in Jersey Shores, PA) and will go from there.
Anybody that can offer suggestions on how to get this done will be appreciated very much. Thanks!
