  • I'm baaaaack!

It's been a while since I have communicated with the Tribe. This new site is great. I received so many e-mails from Topica and I never found time to read them all.

Time flies. Yesterday was my son's 16th birthday. I've been teaching him to fly since this summer (well, really, all his life!!) and tomorrow Dec. 17th - weather permitting he will solo off a grass strip in the family '41 DL-65. Chance of snow but we should be able to get him soloed sometime during the day - I hope.

I'm glad to see this new format for T-Craft communications. I'll let you all know how tomorrow goes as far as Elliott's solo.

I only know it because I lived in Denver (Detroit St, off E Colfax) for a year in '84. Great City, loved it loads.

Anyway, the Welsh flag is easy...it's got a dragon. For 5 points, can you identify the English flag?

Red Cross on a white background.

In 1984 I was on 12th and Jasmine just a couple of miles from you! I had just graduated from College, moved back up to Colorado and was getting ready to get married.

Jim, good to hear from you!! Did you get the dual brakes installed?? Guess your son won't need them for dual anyway!

                Forrest-

Got the info. Thanks. Used the info for a palque for Elliott. Just have to add the date and time.

An interesting fact. The Birthday of the DL-65 he will solo in is 12/15/41. Elliott's birthday is 12/15/87. Forty six years difference in age.....to the day!

                  Hi Dick-

Yes, the brakes are installed.....thanks to you!! The progress on the B model slowed to a snails pace for a while. Last month I rented some shop space in hopes of speeding things up a bit. Will convert the BC12D to Model 19 specs and add float fittings. Maybe I'll see you in Alaska!!

I hope to get my web page up and running sometime this winter so you can see the progress.

                    Always welcome!

It would certainly be a treat to have you show up...It was a kick following Darren's progress up through Canada when he made the trek. Dick
