  • Installing wood Sensenich prop on tapered shaft

The hub on a 65's tapered crank has no bushings to fit into the counterbore on the wood prop. Sensenich installation guide says nothing about this except that the driving force comes from static friction and the bushings on a flanged crank are not to drive the prop anyway. Am I correct in assuming that my prop can be used in this configuration without bushings, or should the prop bolts be bushed for the counterbore, or what?

Old original wood props had no "counterbore" . Just bolt them up and go. When the Flange shaft came out they bored then to fit flange shafts and provided aluminum bushings for use on the taper shafts...... you need a set. They are a snug fit, bye Forrest
