How to setup your Avatar for your account,.

Take a picture you like and process it with photoshop or some other picture editor to be 72dpi and no more than 50 x 50 dpi in size.

Save that someplace on your hard drive. You can also just search the web for one that you like thats already been prepared, there are a lot of libraries out there of "avatars"; www.Goodle.com is a good place to start looking.

Come back here and login, and click the "my profile" button at the top., and then the "edit options" on the next screen.

go toward the bottom of the screen full of stuff you can change about your profile, and you will see "change Avatar", click that and then click "use custom avatar" and then Down toward the bottom "Upload an Avatar from your computer" click the browse button and then go to the picture (avatar) that you saved on your hard drive.

        Then hit submit modifications.

Then pray it worked. your postings, when viewed should now show the avatar by your name.

I think I will bump the size limit up a little.

...aah, remember outdoor plumbing? Now THEM were the days! In the winter, down the brick path to the outdoor privvy, ice cold seat, newspaper sheets on a string, all the privacy you could wish for....

If only the modern world could have kept up.

                        The good ol' days...yeah!

Back in the early 70's my wife and I lived in Iliamna, a small bush settlement a couple hundred airmiles west of Anchorage...We had indoor plumbing in the summer, fall and spring, but used the outhouse during freezeup...in our fishing lodge operation. I plunked down on one of the spots in our 2 holer...hadn't been there for long when a big red fox popped out of the other hole! Luckily, the door was open for the sake of the view and some warm sunshine, given the privacy afforded with no clients. Mr. fox departed posthaste...! I'm glad he didn't think it was a smokehouse and someone was hanging some meat to smoke!

I cannot believe the common interest in out door privys ; at the next Alliance-Barber fly-in ; right after the Cremation of Sam McGee and I have had two beers ; ask about the THREE holer off the end on runway 9 at Barbers many years ago in the snow......... speaking of snow we had only 4-5 inches today... Flew yesterday three sorties.
