It looks like they were able to help with your question. The interpretation of the major/minor still seems to be on the installer. Good information.

We decided to stick with the 3-24 for now, just replacing the solid tire.

My dad and I found it a little odd that the tailwheel fork was cast from a bronze or brass alloy. The upper part, the part attaching to the springs is ferrous, but the fork is not--including what I'll call the kingpin.
Any idea why they would use this alloy? Seems the potential for wear would be high.
