Re: Floorboards
Does anybody know what color the factory painted metal floorboards in 1946?
Flat black? The same as the main color of the airplane? The trim color?
My floorboards were dark blue before the restoration (and judging from some original paint hidden behind the panel, the plane may have originally been overall dark blue), so we painted them the AN Blue of the new trim. But now I'm questioning that...Joel Severinghaus

Re: Floorboards
when in 46? Most of the time the rudder pedals, and whole front end under the boot cowl was the base color or black, dark blue or even red on the Aces . It is all explained in the color brochures .Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc

Re: Floorboards
My floorboards are a couple of old road signs someone years ago borrowed and cut out and installed. Discovered this when doing a bungee replacement. One is a "Do not enter" and the other is a " Yellow crooked line that has shotgun pellet dents in it". Just something to look at and laugh at.
