My aeroplanes 70th birthday today

We had a small celebration today, my Taylorcraft G-BREY reached her 70th birthday. First flown at Alliance, OH on 1st April 1946 by Paul A Dietz (Licence 34296)

So she had to be flown again today, which I and one of my fellow co-owners did, despite the blustery conditions. Afterwards, we had a glass of bubbly to celebrate, and then, bless her, a member of our aero club produced a birthday cake! With 70 on the top, and even a proper fuel gauge! It'll take the club members about a week to eat through it...it's two feet long and 6" deep!

Mine was born March 29. It also flew on the 1of April piloted by William Crawford

Miss Scarlett turns 70 in September of this year and Forrest would never take the time to find out who test flew her.

Congratulations on G-BREY turning 70. She is younger than me. N96718 makes it on July 11.

Congrats on 70 good years!

I've been planning a cake for June 20th for N34237. The log says first flight on that date in 1946 by R. B. or maybe R. E.
Just initials in the logbook and kind of hard to read the script. Anyone know who might have been the pilot?
