  • Seat sling

Hello everyone. Long time lurker first time posting. I just recently purchased a Taylorcraft BC12D,the owner previous to one I bought it from had removed the seat sling and replaced it with a plywood bench with padded seats. It's ok for myself 5'10" 180lbs but for anyone taller and heavier it's a challenge. I did the advance search on "seat sling" and noticed that I will need the spider for it.Does anyone manufacture this item or knows if there are any for sale out there?

    Re: Seat sling

You can make a spider if you can't find one. Making it is pretty easy.....assembling it correctly is the real problem! I have a bunch of photos somewhere around here (OK, everybody who knows me stop laughing. They are somewhere ON THE COMPUTER). I am also going to take the weak old seat sling I use for a pattern to the "tent maker" sometime next week to get a quote on making a new one for another tribe member. Remind me and I will post his price.

I may also have an extra spider in the hangar. NOW you can all laugh. You know how long it will take me to find it.
