BC-12D Wing Tip Bow tube specs

Quick Question,

Would any of the members here happen to know the BC-12D Wing Tip Bow tube specs for type of material and diameter.

I'm looking to fabricate a new set for my aircraft.

.5" o.d.

.050" wall measured with paint & dirt so may be .049" in reality, this is from two tips, one 1980's wing tip and one is a 1946 wing tip

.030" wall measured with paint & dirt so may be .049" in reality, this one is pre-war wings tips if my memory is correct and I think that it is.

The material may be 1025 or 4130 but it some ways it makes no diff because you are likely to only find 4130 available and it is a replacement for either.

I used 1/2" EMT from the local hardware store, but you didn't hear me say that.

4130 will make a difference when you start bending
them the softer the better, just say'n
