  • Shims for Control Column and Rudder Pedals

Is there a commercial source for the brass shims for the rudder pedal and control column pivots? My A&P lost them when he sent the Control Column and Rudder Pedals out to be powder coated.

    Try this Link...

CLICK on the "Brass Shim Stock" link. I think .005 inch is close to the correct size.

REMEMBER TO PUT THE OIL HOLES IN THEM!!!!!!!!!

I have seen several on planes with no oil holes. Makes a real mess when no oil is getting to the moving surface!

I not only don't have the brass shims, I also don't have the clamps that hold down the rudder pedals or the control column. Does anyone have some of these clamps they can part with? I need the "singles" at the ends of the pedals, as well as the "doubles" in the center that hold them together.

I also need the clamps that hold down the control column.

        Thanks.
