Re: How many?
Hank,
My project 1941 Aeronca Super Chief (side by side) had wood stick build up ribs using 1/4 X 1/4 spruce "sticks" with grey transformer paper gussets.
I turns out that the ribs are nearly identical (Clark Y I think)in shape and overall size to those in a Waco UPF7 but they had heavier "sticks".
I will be rebuilding the wings, if I ever get to it, using 1/8 in plywood gussets.
