I hope there are a lot too! We are supposed to have a big run this year. As far as that saying goes I've never found the first 2 to be true, no idea about the 3rd.

Well good luck with the fishing. I worked in Southeast and Kodiak around salmon fisheries and was always amazed at the amount of hard work and just plain luck involved in making it profitable. Just when the fish show the boat or gear takes a dump, or the weather intervenes. Hope this season is a good one. Do you fish Cook Inlet or Bristol Bay?
