Replacement door handles

I found new manufacture handles for older VW's at airheadparts.com and ordered one. It came in today and I believe it will work on my BC12D. The hole is splined but measures slightly less than 7/16 in ID. I should be able to drill it out to 7/16 in. and insert a chromoly tube, which has an ID very close to the diameter of the door spindle. I'll post an update on how it turns out.

It is very light and shaped very similar to the T'Craft handle (see photo). Cost is $7.95. Part no. 113-837-225 A
