    The attached is an excerpt from a report I did a few years ago for an FAA submittal. I cannot post the entire report due to its proprietary nature, but I thought the information on this page may be helpful to some folks.

      I walked around Shaun's plane today as I'm thinking of getting another T-Craft similar to his. I owned one 40 years ago -N29694. We've not met as far as I recall.

      The left wing root rib appears lower like in the pictures. The left rear lift strut is shorter than the right (adjuster screwed in more?). Nice plane.

      Given the topic discussion (rigging) I've been able to search here and elsewhere it would seem one simple way to determine rib root incidence and tip wash would be to use a digital level. I have one and by offsetting the level with blocks so the metal wasn't in contact with the rib the angles could be measured per wing and between wings at the same locations along the chord.

      Can I now assume the correct initial washout is ~2 deg? Or has that been superseded by other data? I've owned planes with from 0 to 2.5 deg of washout and prefer something more than the former, and less than the latter.

      Edit: I might add this question. Has someone measured the inboard level to wing bottom distance when setting the recommended 1-5"16" space outboard? From any difference between them and the length of the level we can determine the degree of washout without a digital level. Using a 30" level each 1/2" difference equals approximately one degree of wash in or out.
