Can anyone give advice on how to store an A65, in an unheated area of my home, I have a A65 assembled without accesories, but plates on the back and plugs installed, I know that changes in tempurature can affect metals and cause corrosion.

Re: Engine dry storage
A cool area is good, but the key is moisture.... need to do everything possible to ensure the air in and around the engine is as dry as possible. Use a preserving oil of course but run some dry air through the crankcase to make sure things are dry inside, put the hole thing in a poly bag along with a bag of silica and suck the air out with a vacuum cleaner.Scott

Re: Engine dry storage
There is an article, perhaps by Continental, that I used years ago. Storage oil sprayed into the engine, dessicant plugs in each cylinder, all inlets into the engine sealed. I made plates for the oil sump, intakes, exhaust and mag mounting locations. Don't forget the breather elbow. Monitor the dessicant plugs for color change, (mine never did), and put new dessicant into the dessicant plugs if they change color. I cannot remember if this was all I did, but it is a good start.Cheers,
Marty
