    Inspection required
each 25 hours of engine operation
    .
This inspection applies only to fuel hose bearing white dash lines and having end fittings
    marked “CAA, SNA (date)”

It doesn't have this type hose or fittings, Tom

How often have you seen these old birds with automotive type fuel hoses or unknown type hoses....... I deal with a lot of different aircraft and I bet I see more unapproved fuel lines then those approved, especially on older birds like taylorcraft, cubs, aeroncas, 120,140,140,150,170 etc. It's a good idea to replace any flex line in your main fuel supply line every 5 years or so. IMHO.

I have acutely had a steal needle stick on me. Developed a ridge at the mating point. Only the idle circuit worked if you advanced the throttle it would quit. The part that was bad was I was in the air at the time. Close to the airport so I made the runway. I would probably go threw the carb.

To the best of my knowledge, Taylorcraft did use automotive fittings and hoses (why re-invent the wheel?). The changes are the recent aromatic fuels used.
