Post LOTS of pictures before and during assembly. You will get loads of advice on the easiest way to put her together and things to look at before they are sealed up inside. We LOVE looking at the guts of any new planes. There seems to always be something we all run out and look at our planes for.

You are going to LOVE it!

      Hey Perry,

Congrats! Thanks for the intent of bringing another one back to life. (Just make sure it has elevator bolt stops). Lol
      Cheers,

Made it back to Maine,no battle damage in transit, last night we peeled the fabric and took a real good look.It is just what they said it was,Perfect for restoration. No real issues with rust or corrosion even in the places one would expect.
We will be asking lots of questions in the process,so be ready. The good part is we have another one flying(Mine)to see how its suppose to be.

STOP!!!!! Don't peel anymore fabric until you have marked it so that you can tell where to put the holes for the rudder cables. Maybe you already know this, but if you mark the fabric with a Majic Marker at some identifiable location where you know exactly where it was, you will see where to run the rudder cables through. It is not impossible to do if you don't have the old fabric, but it sure makes it a LOT easier if you do. It is also good to have so you can locate the inspection holes under the tail. Same for the wing fabric.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! We like pictures, the more the merrier.

I kept all the old covering I cut off so I could put it "back on" to locate things like that. I had them rolled up and stored in a barn (FULL OF SPIDERS NOW!!!!) . The owner of the barn used to call them "Airplane Pelts". They are REALLY HANDY when you recover!

                            Hank

Just be careful when unrolling. Danged spiders were EVERYWHERE! Many poisonous!

All you have to do is take a tape measure and cross measure from two or three points. Write them down on a note pad.....my note pad is one of my most useful tools when restoring anything.....even if it's just to write down where you stored your old fabric,lol....I lost an entire fuselage for a taylorcraft once, forgot where I stored it while I was working on the wings....I had way too many projects going at once during that time though.
