I am in the process of rebuilding a 46 bc-12d and am incorporating the harer stc and putting an electric system in. I plan on putting three radios in but don't have a good idea of where to put them.
    I will put the garmin 250 gps/com along with a kr-86 adf and a slimline transp[onder.
does anyone have pictures of a panel they would share to give me an idea of where to put the radios.

    Re: radios

Probably not what you are thinking but I put an iCOM in my flight bag and clip it to a panel mount screw. With an ant. hookup it works great and has good range and very little interferance. Panel radios? Expensive, require a shop to service, repair, remove and instal and the iCOM has worked a treat for years with never a single problem except the little rubber cap on one of the controls got lost (works fine without it).
When you get your panel the way you want it I would STRONGLY recommend a nice hand held as a backup in your flight bag. They are GREAT at airshows too.

      Re: radios

Not sure if this will help you or not, but this was the panel layout in my F21B. Didn't have the 3rd radio, but there was plenty of room for one under the transponder.

        Re: radios

My radio is mounted on the left side the panel and the xponder goes in the "glove box" on th the right. 1977 F-19.

Thanks for the picture and the comments
I may hang the three radios below the throttle and mixture control like I have seen in some cubs
I will post pictures when I get done

            Re: radios

Here's what I have so far for Tami T-Craft's new panel, which will be part of the model 19 STC. Intercom, ELT remote panel, I-Com IC-200 TSO and Narco AT 150A go where the left glove box usually goes. With the 12 gallon main tank there's little room for deep instruments or a radio stack between the yokes.

              Re: radios

I find it easier to see and adjust/tune equipment in the region of the right glove box than the left glove box region. You may have to change hands on the yoke to adjust the radio if it is behind the left yoke.

                Jon,

I am rebuilding my T-craft. I really like your panel. Where can I get one? Mine is flat. The factory has just flat panels.

                  Re: radios

I have my valcom 760 stacked over my Narco AT50A on the far left where the glove box would be in a standard T-Craft panel. 5 1/4 X 6 1/4 cutout. The ic is located centered over the yoke and the panel mount control for the ELT is just to the left of the ic. Everything is right there with excellent access and visibility and there is plenty of depth for the avoinics. I have a flat panel and am currently adding a 3 1/2 inch overhang to the glare shield so that I can mount my glare shield lighting strips. These things are GREAT!!!
A friend of mine put them in his 140 and they are phenomenal. And they have an emergency 9v back up battery that's good for 4 hrs. I would attach a photo but my luck with pics has not been good.

                  Hope this helps.
                  Best Regards
