  • off-set vertical stabalizer

I was browsing for information to no avail. My question is, Was the BC12D vertical stabilizer set at an angle when attached during assembly at the factory? I was wondering after reading about wash-in and wash-out and trim tabs. I do not have a trim tab and I do hold considerable rudder pressure to counteract a yaw to the left.

Yes, the leading edge is offset.

So assuming washin/washout is correct, you will be holding some right rudder pressure at cruise and high power settings without the aid of a trim tab?

Yes, it is only set for cruise speed and 65 HP engines. Bigger engines and higher power will leave you needing rudder.
