Anyone going to Oskhosh from Central Texas this year?

I have a partner in my Taylorcaft (Jeff Rockwood) who is flying commercial and planning on camping out for Friday and Saturday. Our Tcraft will be down for its annual at the end of July. Jeff would like to meet up with other Tcrafters if you are attending Oshkosh.

I think I'll be staying home this year doing the annual inspection, so doubtful I will make it to Oshkosh.

I don't think I'll be able to do that this year, but if you need a Taylorcraft fix during the annual, mine's over in Burnet.

Thanks for the offer, Ryan. I plan on keeping the annual short and getting back in the air in a week or two. Just need to be down long enough to get the carb and altimeter rebuilt.

Any one planning on camping at Oshkosh this year?

Regarding flying to OSH 2014, anyone flying from VA, MD, NC, PA, OH to join in and fly "loose or very loose" formation?. So far, 2 Taylorcrafts and one L-4. Camping at vintage...but not necessary

My plane is down. Looking for a prop. either Sensenich 74-CK-2-44 or 72-GK-48 or...McCauley 1A90/CF7148. Any help is appreciated. thanks

          Re: Oshkosh 2014

I'll be there in Paul's Woods (as usual).

Seek thee out the "Oshkosh Irregulars", but be aware!

Afore one's arrival, one must be bearing upon one's person an item of identification:

Perchance clothing to prove one's good intention and honest bearing, be it a Taylorcraft badge, patch, emblem, hat, shirt, shoe or undergarment (silk stocking attached to the leg of a siren preferred).

Alternatively, bearing a Taylorcraft memento: broken wing or other structure or part thereof, or elsewise a bona fide Taylorcraft item. New struts in a set of four will be very welcome.

Upon one or all or any such identification, ye shall find a cold beer in consolation for your arduous journey.

          Rob

Or, you can buy a Taylorcraft t-shirt from this guy. http://frztees.com/ Nice product, nice emblem. Easy way out for me. Sorry Rob!
            Cheers,

We are planning on attending about mid week through weekend. Will be in Pacer this year however. I will however wear black taylorcraft hat with yellow trim! Look for brown/tan pacer with orange stripe

                Thanks Rob,

Ill be coming in late on Thursday night. Landing in Appleton around 10:30pm.
I was going to look into securing my own campsite, unless you have room for a 2 man tent at your site!?

Not sure of the policy of bunking up at Oshkosh? - I'll be a 1st time camper there.
Any and all feed back welcomed
