Threads here cause me to wonder if it might be possible to put together a manual/book of a Taylorcraft technical data base of the performance (and other ?) information available from owners and where ever. I have done quite a bit of technical writing and might be interested if I could get some expert assistance on the best way to put it online for everyone to use.
An example I would give is of my airspeed indicator: With careful checking I have found that my airspeed indicator is quite accurate at stall speed but goes off in proportion to increasing airspeed until it is indicating 8 MPH high at top speed. Considering the pitot static reference tube is terminated inside the wing (stock location I think) and there are open holes near the trailing edge of the wing, that makes sense (reduced pressure in wing at higher speed).
Does everyone consider that the present procedure of searching the forum for information is adequate, or might a technically researched and "checked out" "book" collection of information be desirable?
