Seriously folks, anyone with a B16 compass mount????? Pleeeaaassseeee?

When I looked at mine yesterday I was thinking that would be something that could be copied by sand casting or even fabricated by welding parts together.


Probably someone with a milling machine could hog one out of a block.

Not even that part. A four jaw chuck in the lathe and I can make a panel mount square window into a round hole bubble face front for a dome mount fairly easy. That is why I kept so many of the panel mount ones. The problem is you can't get the bubble face glass. it would be pretty easy to fake a dome mount compass with those.

Hank, if I remember correctly one of the instrument repair places was using plastic bubble face to replace damaged glass ones.
