800fpm, Is that all??? 106kts is respectable with the 0200(notice i did say kts...) but I was getting closer to 1500fpm climb at 80mph indicated. I was running an 0200 on a stock short mount without any electrics or battery. Cover plates installed over all the accessory holes.

Robert not question but answer to weight savings a c85 c90 or 0200 with accessories can be done on a short mount with a ten lbs gain. and have a starter and electrical system.

plus battery, wire, solenoids, switches, etc. It adds up. Its not just the engine, its the whole package. Tim

I gained 2 lbs just going from a magnesium to aluminum accessory case for the better oil pump.

I would start out at about 1500 fpm and end up about 400 fpm at 10K, the 65 would be at 50 fpm at 10K, big differrence...Tim

What does a mid time A65 run these days?

2-5K depending on who has it and what it is. I bought 2 engine for 400 each but they were cores. Tim

If I was in this predicament, I would never put another 65 on it. The 85 makes a tremendous difference even with a light weight starter etc. much easier and much safer too. ( not to mention an o200 if you come across one. )
