  • A few pictures from the Texas STOL roundup today

First off, I didn't compete. Had a student along for some tailwheel work and didn't want to leave him on the ground while I competed. I was going to see about coming back afterwards and competing against the big boys (Carbon Cubs and Super Cubs) but ran out of time before needing to take the wife to a baby shower (That was fun, though!). If they have this event next year, I plan on trying to compete just for the fun of it. I'll never get this bird off the ground in a short enough distance to beat a Carbon Cub, which they apparently put in the same class as this.
Anyway, here are a few pictures.

It was fun and I recommend it for the future.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. It is nice to see what our 'Southern Brethren' are doing with their STOL aircraft.
