The aircraft is N43491, registered to a corporation, Jazell Productions. Bart J. Burns is the VP. The address on the registration is in SW Houston. I found this picture, http://www.abpic.co.uk/search.php?q=N43491&u=reg, stating the location is Hooks. Maybe Greg Young, "Bigdog", will recognize the hangar floor. Also found this listing on Trade-A-Plane,
The picture in your search may well have been taken at Hooks. I don't recognize the hangar but there are a lot of that type and quality (tiled floor) hangars on the field. However the pictures in the Trade-a-Plane ad are not from Hooks. Assuming those big ass antennas visible in the first picture are part of the antenna farm near Sugarland it's on the SW side of Houston, perhaps Houston Southwest (AXH) although the orientation doesn't seem to fit.

From 2002 to 2006, the plane was registered to B&H Texas Air Aces. Wasn't that the group that flew T-34's in simulated air combat and unusual attitude training? They were at Hooks, I think? The address on that registration was the same as the current one. The 2005 picture was probably in their hangar.
Yup, the Air Aces operation is defunct after killing 4 people including the head dog. But the hangar operation is still there. I own a lot right next to it and hope to build my own soon.

OK the plane is either a late 45 (VERY late) or early 46. The windows are NOT original in the doors but it is an original windshield (I don't know many people crazy enough to put the original vents back in an expensive windshield, most put them in the door windows because windshield cracks just cost too much). It has been modified for the Bracket air filter (hard to find a plane that isn't) and the unshielded ignition has been replaced with shielded (note blisters on cowl). The door handles are 45 but could be left overs from stock since it is just after the war. THe handles and lack of "D" Windows say it iw NOT a Deluxe, but can't tell which model. Metal prop (original was wood). The panel has a LOT of mods. The instruments are all in the wrong places. T&B goes where the Alt is and the Alt goes where the ROC is. ROC goes where the Tach is and the Tach goes where the ASI is. The Oil Temp is an auto gauge and the Oil P is the only correct instrument in the panel. The panel itself is a mess. I don't know what the bottom center instrument even is, but that is where the Mag Switch goes. I would crash before I could figure this panel out! It makes me dizzy. The wheels look pretty good and are late 45 or early 46 too (pre-cast Pretzels), the really comfortable ones. The throttle ball looks like it might be one of the original cream ones (VERY rare). Several of the under panel knobs also look original (also rare). I would look at what those wires hanging under the panel were before I even considered flying her. Looks good in the pictures except for the panel mode so I would do a conformity verification pre-buy to be sure all the mods are logged.
As a side note, the T&B and the ROC instruments are not stock to a Taylorcraft, but are sometimes added later in life. Make sure the logs indicate such.
The exhaust outlet does not look right, it looks awfully close to the firewall.
HAD a wood prop, from the factory. The metal prop on it will be more efficient and actually costs more, but doesn't have the "feel" of the wood. ;-)
What I was trying to say was that the ONLY instrument that was the original type was the Oil Pressure, ALL of the others should be listed in the logs as having been changed. Not sure why someone would move them all around in the panel when changing them. Sure looks confusing when you are used to the stock configuration.
Hank
I guess the owner would be confused by the stock layout too.
