Pre-War Post-War parts

I own a flying 1940 BL-65 and a 1946 BC-12D project. I have numerous spare parts. I am planning to sell the project, and I would like to keep the Pre-War parts.

I know that the tail feathers and doors are different, but do not know about the other parts. Can someone tell me if there are differences in the following parts?

Engine mounts, Main Fuel Tanks, Wing Struts, Jury Struts, Landing Gear, Wheel Pants, Ailerons, Wing Tanks?

Bob,

No difference really, except some late post-war jury struts are two-piece using a small bolt to connect the horizontal to one of the vertical tubes, and wheel pants were somewhat different. Pre-war wheel pants were two halves joined with a folded flange creating a raised ridge along the axis of the pant, post-war the halves were screwed together and the seam covered with a trim strip. Either are very scarce.

There are two different wing tanks. One is aluminum and the other is steel. Both work, but the the aluminum ones are much lighter. I know the L2 tanks were steel and so many left over steel ones made there way into post war planes.

The mount for the gascolator might be pointed a different dirrection on the engine mount, but this might be an open/closed cowl thing.
