While doing some research regarding the screws for the Shinn backing plate I dug out my bag of screws. For those of you familiar with this Rob Lees, in his Care and Feeding of Shinn Brakes, (http://www.taylorcraft.org.uk/Brake-issues.pdf), lists these screws and their source. The only problem is the minimum was 200 screws when I bought them, (Rob posted it was 100 minimum in 2002). Mine were purchased several years later. They are an 82 degree countersunk screw - MS51960-65 (or 10-32 UNF-2A x 1/2 PH FLT HD Stainless Steel Machine Screw).
I know there are some folks looking for these screws. If you are in real need feel free to send me a PM regarding these.
