I noticed the only factory built lsa taylorcraft for sale on barnstormers this morning. Such a shame that more were not built. I sure hope they haven't been flying it in lately with those bungee on it.....if anyone looks at it make sure the bungees have been replaced. Look at the first pics at how far the gear is spread out. I don't know if my safty cables will even let my gear go out that far.

I love this ad, check out the 'fully supported', part. Are we missing something, someone forgot to tell us the factory re-opened?

Re: 2007 LSA Taylorcrft info
I have been having an e-mail conversation with the gentleman with the Taylorcraft. I am not sure if it is ignorance, (No offense intended), of what he has gotten himself into or something else but you can determine for yourself. This is the first reply to my inquiry about the plane, it being "Fully supported" and the issue with the certificate being terminated.
There is a small issue with the registration which is easily correctable. The issue
was created intentionally to cloud the title because the aircraft was purchased with
trust money. Due to divorce I could not title the aircraft in my own name. This will be corrected
in a few weeks and will the registration will be in the name of the trust and the trustee will sell
the trust asset on my behalf. As you might imagine I didn't want to bring property into a community
estate which could have been divided by a court. The airplane has no lein's and was purchased from
an elderly gentleman who was awarded the aircraft by a federal bankruptcy judge. The owner ship tracing
is as solid a possible and the title is clear everything is documented by the FAA registry records.
Fully supported means all parts of the aircraft are available, Univair for example sells many Taylorcraft parts including
the struts, and cowlings etc and many others sell all the additional parts like scott tailwheel, Cleveland brakes etc
there aren't any 1940's parts on this airplane, you wont have to worry about finding 70yr old parts all you have to do
is call Univair, Garmin, Cleveland, Continental etc to buy brand new exact replacement parts. This is the really good part
about owning a true classic that is newly constructed, No corrosion, no old hardware, its all new!!! Technical support is easily
available, Taylorcraft built thousands of these aircraft and they are all very similar. Hard to find an A&P that doesn't know
Taylorcrafts, Aeronca's and Cub's, All very similar aircraft the cub was in fact originally the "Taylor Cub"
TX170 is a brand new classic airplane. 90TT is practically brand new. As we speak the airplane is going through an
annual inspection I'm considering keeping her wide open, cowlings and covers off so prospective buyers can see the
internals which are perfect. I can deliver the airplane within a few weeks anywhere in the USA for free, in fact I would love a buyer to buy it out west and have me fly it cross country. She will be delivered ready to fly or show!Cheers,
Marty

He also thought the 'camera' angle' is what makes us think the bungees needed changing. He has had A&P's, (multiple), inspect it and declare it is great.
I advised him they need to be changed, no question about it.Cheers,

Re: 2007 LSA Taylorcrft info
The terminated registration may well be a small issue to fix, after all if the guy really does own it and there are no liens outstanding it could be registered to the buyer. The airworthiness certificate is the real deal killer. It is listed as "Special Flight Permit, Prod. Flight Testing". It may be impossible to ever fly it legally.

My blood pressure went up 20pts at the mention! I was digging thru boxes in the basement last weekend and found my 100+ hours of lift strut tensile coupons. I cant force myself to throw them out.MIKE CUSHWAY

I wonder about that airplane. I saw it and sat in it at the Wings Over Houston airshow last year or the year before. If it was a bit more affordable, I would have been interested.

Re: 2007 LSA Taylorcrft info
I own a 1991 F22A ( Nose wheel ) which was one of the last aircraft produced by the Factory and flown to the UK in the same year. The Factory in fact went Bankrupt when the aircraft reached the UK the same year so I am not sure where this Guy is coming from but something is very wrong!
