      Fun with the kids

The most important things in my life, and a picture says it all.
My oldest daughter Kelli(10) is not pictured because she's gone shopping with her mother, but I would like for you guys to meet Ryan(11),Kara Jordan(3),and Shelbie Arizona(8).
Notice the hangers in the back ground with the runway between them and the kids.

          That's NOT a Taylorcraft . . . . . but it's sure a nice looking 170!

I was just going to say the same thing! Though I am now a Taylorcraft convert, I still have a weakness in my heart for the Cessna 140 and Cessna 170.

When my Taylorcraft grows up, it's going to be a 180 (or even a 195).

                C-170???

You mean that's not a taylorcraft ??????Just kidding.I'll try to get some pictures of Crispy Critter(my lightning struck1946 BC12Dproject)and post them in a week or so.My digital camara was flooded by the toilet when my three year old tried to see if it would flush...along with a cordless phone, cell phone and numerous other items.I now have to have all my film developed the old fashion way(by snail mail)and I have them downloaded onto CD.
I just thought you guys would still like the picture even though it is an old Cessna.Plus I wanted to share a few pictures of my family.

                  Kevin,
Nothing wrong with old Cessnas at all. Here's the one I had before buying my F21B.

                    Craig,
                    Thant's a sharp looking C-140.

I know this is sacrilege for a Taylorcraft site, but now that we are on the subject, here is a picture of my old 140. Flew this plane across Canada several times and down to Oshkosh three times.

I think I've started something .Grant, that's another nice looking C-140.Robert,the C-195's are really a super airplane but they sure do eat a lot.
I'm need to get some pictures of Crispy Critter on here pretty quick and change the subject back to T-crafts before I get us all blackballed from the T-craft club .
I learned how to fly in a 1948 Cessna 170 which my father and I are currently restoring along with Crispy Critter.I love the old tail low cessna's,heck,I love any airplane with a personality(to me,that is anything with a tailwheel)
I have flown several T-crafts and I love them all but I have never flown Crispy Critter yet.My father and grandfather learned to fly in it but lightning BBQed it before I was born.I have been working on Crispy since 1999 and with all that was destroyed it has really been a nightmare, even though my father kept every single piece(or the remains of every single piece),don't get me wrong because it still lacks a few things before she will fly but I am definitly starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.I hope to fly it by late summer or early fall,it depends on how busy my summer gets.
I hope I will be able to get some group support(group would be you guys)when I start the final assembly and start needing some of the little hard to find items that I have somehow overlooked.

Grant, I wouldn't worry about the sacrelidge. I was a very active member over at cessna140.com, and still post quite a bit. They are getting quite an introduction to Taylorcrafts from me, but haven't run me off yet.

hmmm I knew there was something I liked about you guys. My Sunday go to meeting airplane for a few years was a Cessna 140 with 135 hp Lyc ; McKenzie (?) conversion. I had a jump seat in the back for little daughter Mary. Used to sneek up on the 170's, get high and behind & buzz by them at about 135-140 MPH and watch them look..... bye Forrest

Always wanted a chance to fly one of the O-290 conversions in a C140! Heard they would cruise at better than 130mph, and climb out at over 1500fpm.
