I'm hoping that I'll have a Taylorcraft again to see if I can bring it out for at least a day!

Now to get her annual finished!

She's desperately in need of a bath and some TLC, but hopefully she'll be in good airworthy condition in time.

Is this the one that was in Marlin?

www.fortparkerflying.com seems to be having some technical issues.

For info on the airfield, try www.fortparker.com

I can't wait Terry. I'm ready for fly-in season! If you guys haven't been here before, Jed has an awesome field and Terry knows how to throw a fly-in! Get out there! I'll be there in my shiny Cessna 140 (yes, I'll park in the back). I've got a brand new camera lens I'm anxious to use, so show up and pose. There's nothing quite like a beautiful vintage Taylorcraft.

Jack, I like the Brenham poodle girls in your picture. As often as I'm there I never thought to do that. I'll be at Fort Parker in the Navion. I've also got 2 Navion fly-ins plus Sun n Fun on either side of it. March is going to be a blast!

It was my wife's idea! She said she wanted a picture of the girls in poodle skirts and I decided they would match my plane! I've since sold the plane. I'll have to find some girls with polished skirts now!

It looks like we frequent some of the same places. I recognize the Fredericksburg Diner behind your pretty 140. Look me up and say hi if you see me out and about. My Navion is hard to miss. Hopefully I will see you at Fort Parker.

This was taken at Brazoria County (KLBX) - another $100 hamburger favorite.

My new bird isn't very photogenic yet, but I'm putting this on the calendar!

A little masking tape, a little rattle can paint and she will be perfectly presentable. You can go for REAL beauty queen later, right now just got to stop the corrosion.

                            Still a good looking bird.

We got the corrosion stopped. It's indeed getting her presentable that is the next challenge. Regrettably I have a lot less to work with after the annual than I expected, so it may be some weeks before she looks more beautiful.
