IA needed near Richmond VA for pre-purchase inspection

Hello gang,

I found a plane (or should I say Sean found a plane) that will fill my requirements. I need to arrange for an IA in the Richmond, VA area to handle a pre-buy for me. The closer to Richmond the better as I do not want to incur extra costs. The logs are not in PDF so if someone knows of an IA close to there that would be a big plus. Any input is greatly appreciated. Feel free to post publicly or PM me.

If anyone has names of a CFI in that immediate area to check me out in the plane that would also be a plus.

If you need some additional help, let me know. My IA is in the Richmond area and would highly recommend him for a pre-buy. He is very knowledgeable in the tube and fabric arena, if that's the type of plane that you are considering. If you need me to take a look at it, let me know. Im only about half an hour away [in Taylorcraft time]. I will gladly do it.

Nothing more fun than a group look at a Taylorcraft! I'm not the one to make the invitations this time, but we used to do group annuals in south east Virginia and they were a blast. We need to get that started again. Multiple eyes don't miss much.

My plane and I will be at the state fly-in again this year. I will have it on the line, even if the engine isn't running yet (which it BETTER be!). Maybe we can set up a Taylorcraft area! We need to coordinate all the "T" guys in range. It is May 4 & 5 this year at SFQ in South East VA. Anyone interested? Plenty of chairs and a stocked fridge in my hangar as well as a microwave, crock-pot, toaster oven, gas grill (HMMMM, I wonder if I have hit on one of the things slowing me down?) Might be a good excuse for a crock pot of Chili.

Sounds like a plan. Let me pass on the word and gather the troops for the event. There four local Taylorcrafts that I know of [ 2 at Warrenton & at the Airpark and 2 at Culpepper] plus Dano in Annapolis with his Tcraft on floats and Bob Coolbaugh in New Market [ he might have his beautiful BL ready by that time]. Maybe the Maryland group can join as well as others.

I may need to ask the airport manager to give us an area of our own! He is a great guy and would probably be very open to that. Sounds like it might be time to think about the Mid-Atlantic Taylorcraft Club again. It would be fun to do our hundred Dollar Hamburger runs to each others home airports to meet up.

My annual is due in May,...I'm a long ways from Suffolk though! LOL I love the idea of a bunch of Taylorcraft folks sharing their knowledge and getting them done.
