  • DCO-65 eyebrows

Hi everyone. this has probably been discussed previously somewhere but I am in the final stages of a L2-B restoration, and need a set of eyebrows. Does anyone know of a good qualitysourse for a set? thanks in advance for any help.

    Re: DCO-65 eyebrows

    Welcome Pete.

Unfortunately, I just sold my only set earlier this year. They are not easy to come by but hopefully someone here has them or can help you reproduce them. Good luck with the B model, I miss mine!
    Cheers,
    Marty

They look like J-3, except they are not crimped around the edges, have flowing curve and not hard bent, and also have a wire rolled edge reinforcement in them

I didn't know about the wire rolled edge. However, the old example I have (very bad condition) also has a welded portion around the rear section about 8 inches long joining two formed areas. Pretty thin material to be welding along two edges I would guess. I would use J-3 eyebrows if that's all I can get, but I would prefer authentic eyebrows if possible.

The DC series set of blueprints on CD has drawings of these I believe. Forest has them.

Years ago Forrest had some eyebrows in his parts cache. I don't remember seeing them last year, but I really wasn't looking for them. I have not seen Forrest post anything in quite some time here but hopefully someone from the Alliance area can chime in.
              Cheers,
              Marty
