Here's ya go tribe, I'm posting here first. I have a 1946 BC12D project, 1051 total time on both the engine and airframe, 262 since major overhaul, recovered with poly fiber in 1997,etc. I would rather sell this bird as a project. I don't mind to seperate the firewall forward from the airframe but this does appear to be the original engine to the airframe from the factory so keep that in mind. If no one is interest in it as a whole or at least as a half then I will part it out. It is a 1946 BC12D, N44044, s/n 9844. It was involved in an accident earlier this year where the pilot ran off the runway and into some trees. There's no prop strike, no gear damage, no cowl damage, or tail damage. Did not go on its back, did not go on its nose, it just hit a couple of trees with both wings. The left rear wing spar will have to be replaced, the left front I think is okay unless it might have damage at the very tip where the bow attaches(won't know until I can unload and get a closer look). The right wing has only minor leading edge damage and that is all that I see(also has a bow in the trailing edge where someone pulled a strap a little too tight over it(wonder who's fault that was). The worst damage is to the fuslage at the left rear wing attach point. The spar fitting was broken(I have a replacement I will throw in) and the vertical tube just below is push in about three inches and kinked. The upper longeron just behind there looks like it might be very slightly out of line but I think when ya pull the vertical tube back in place the longeron will follow. Thats all the damage there is. I will take $4500 for the complete airframe as is minus the struts. The struts are not for sale at all because I'm keeping them for Crispy. If I part it out there might be a few other parts I keep but we'll see. The in is an A65-8(taper shaft),MaCauley metal prop in very good condition, 74/43. Engine is original to the airframe with same total time. It was last overhauled in 1997. It has new slick mags & shielded harness. I started the engine yesterday while still strapped to the trailer. I did not prime it. I simply pulled her thru 4 blades, throttle at idel(not cracked),hot with the mags and she was ticking solfty on the first pull! Oil pressure was instant and excellent. I'll take $5500 for everything forward of the firewall(minus cowling & mount...I feel they should go with airframe). Or If someone wants the complete airplane I'll take $8500 for all as is(no struts). I'll post some pics in a few minutes.
