  • need prewar wing parts

    Finally starting to work on NC36061 and need some wing parts:

    4 - 64" drag wires for outboard bays of both wings
    4 - 42" drag wires
    4 - truss type nose ribs
    2 - truss type full ribs
    2 - truss type aileron bay ribs
    2 - tip ribs, left and right
    1 - lefthand stamped full rib

    Dave, got your message, just haven't been able to do much inventory on the spare wing parts. Trying to get the engine ready to go back on the 41 takes all the time every time I'm at the airport and I seem to keep forgetting a lot of other things. I don't seem to have much in the way of pre war wing parts though. Mostly post war stuff and I have the 45 wings that will start as soon as the 41 is flying.
    Should have a better idea then.

      There is prewar wings on ebay.

      Taylorcraft Wings, Prewar, complete left and right, ribs,struts,bellcranks etc.

      Prewar Taylorcraft wings, these have been disassembled and put in boxes as shown, most parts were marked and labeled, all the ribs are there and straight or repairable, includes bell cranks, nose ribs, compression struts, cables, brackets, leading edge, trailing edge, These are for the wood spars ( there were 200 metal spar aircraft built before WWII).         Or a shared buy? Just seems like $2k is a lot for two wings in parts (with no guarantee everything is there). Is someone in the tribe selling the parts? Makes a difference if it is one of us for bidding and trusting.
