  • t/c axle nut wheel pants

I n going thru my boxes of parts I have found what I believe to be an axle nut for a T/C with wheel pants.I only have one. The size is 1.75 socket, 6 holes for cotterpins, and tapers down to about 9/16 with a threaded hole. sitting on my desk it measures 2.5 tall. 10 bucks gets it shipped any where in the U.S, priority. I don't have the capability to take pics. all threads are good. jim

Sounds just like the nuts on mine that go between the end of the axle and the outside of the pant. They aren't easy to machine!

thanks for the reply Hank. In another life I pretty much worked on Luscomb ,and T/C. Just one of those pieces that has another wandering around some where. Hope some one can use it. jim

See Taylorcraft News #151 Page 6. It gives complete info on obtaining hardware and mounting of original type wheel pants.IE: Installation of the Taylorcraft Deluxe wheel pants uses Taylorcraft A-9014 fitting and 0883 axel nut in place of the AN320-12 axel nut. In absence of these use Wag Aero's T-Craft wheel fender mounting kit M 124-000 and standard mounting proceedure. Picture shows excellent results. JC
