7 65's - Need opinions

Hello all,

I have, at last count, 7 65's. 2 Flanged 5 tapered. All are disassembled. Some cylinders have been checked at rejected. Not sure about the rest.

I have 95% of the parts for all of them, not including carbs or mags.

If it were you, would you try to get stuff tagged or just sell it as is.

I had a guy tell me today that he would sell them as one big lot - as is- and let the buyer take their chances.

I think that the buyer could EASILY get all of their money back and could possibly make a small fortune. I'm planning on listing the lot at $5000.

Any thoughts?

Humble opinion....I would call Bill Pancake in West Va. and see what he says. JC

sell as is, you do not want to burden the cost of yellow tags on 7 engines. On average they would be worth $500 each as cores, with flange shafts being worth a few bucks more. I don't know about now, but i unloaded roughly 10 disassembled engine cores on ebay one at a time several years back, and they averaged $750-$1000 each then.
