  • 1946 BC12D For Sale

We've decided to reluctantly part with our 1946 BC12D. We've owned "Wonderboy" for 18 years and he's given us immense pleasure......I know we'll miss him, but I have three flying airplanes and two projects and there just isn't room or time to fly all three or rebuild the projects.

I will have my F19 conversion project and a Stinson 108-3 project for sale in the very near future as well. I've decided I want to fly, not build or restore. If you're interested, here's a web page with pictures, some videos and more details: Wonderboy

I have priced him at $18,700. If you have any questions, email me at [email protected]

    Regards,
    Vincent

We've reduced the price on N43457 to $16,500. I'm just out of room and am currently spread out over three and a half hangars. I have been flying "Wonderboy" a lot lately and it's just plain fun flying. I think I've learned more flying the TCraft over the years than anything else I've flown. dedrekon.com

I'm almost ready to list my Taylorcraft F19 conversion project as well, still taking pictures and sorting things out on it.

    Cheers,
    Vincent

I've finally got my F-19 Conversion project up on our website. It belonged to my father for several years. He dipped a wing landing and damaged that wing. Since the fabric was getting old, he decided to restore the airplane. Although the log books "went missing" when he died, it's a very complete project and all the conversion documentation is on the FAA CD. I have it priced at $9,500.

I flew this airplane quite a bit and it was an incredible performer, very fast and super quick off the ground. It also has the very best Taylorcraft N number in the world. It can be seen at 46TC. There are a ton of pictures there.

There are also quite a few various Taylorcraft parts and pieces on the assorted stuff for sale page.

      Here's a picture of 46TC in it's glory days.

I got some very good news about my '46 F19 conversion, which is for sale right now. The log books and all the paperwork that was stolen several years has been recovered and returned to me!! It looks like everything is there, including the 337's, some old photos and even a copy of the April, 1976 issue of Sport Aviation which has an article on this plane....woohoo!

I have a feeling there could be a VERY INTERESTING story in there! Stolen paperwork doesn't usually just come back on its own.

More sad than interesting.....we've always known who had them, we were finally able to get them back. Here's a link to the pics and the Sport Aviation article. The article references another write up in Vintage Airplane a couple years earlier. If anybody has that article, I'd love a copy of it. dedrekon.com/46tc

They say the two best days of an airplane owner's life are the day he buys the plane and the day he sells it.......well, we sold "Wonderboy" today to a couple of very nice folks (former Taylorcraft owners) who live just down the pike from us. I know they'll take good care of him and enjoy him as much as we did.

Still, it's a bit of a sad day around our house.......as I've said before, I've flown a BUNCH of different airplanes in my life, but none taught me as much about flying as that old TCraft.

Well, I no longer own any Taylorcrafts......46TC has gone to new home. The new owner has already started his own website and hopefully I can follow his progress as he restores this great airplane. This is the address of the site: 46TC

I still have quite a bunch of Taylorcraft parts available, some are pictured on my site and the rest will be soon.
