  • Garmin GPS III Plus w/Roads & Rec CD

    Folks:
I'm selling my Garmin GPS III Plus in top shape. Has cartographic display, chart plotting, marine and auto nav. Uses four (4) AA bateries at 36 hours continious, has the cigarette lighter plug, serial cable computer cable adapter for updates, mount and owners manual. It does not show airspace, etc as the new high end ones do. Is great for "I Follow Roads" flights !!. Displays compass, waypoints, North America maps, ground speed, distance to point and time to point. Basic GPS but does the trick. Have the Roads and Recreation CD too. Has been a reliable flight companion for the past years. handheld size.
Got a used 195 for my birthday, so this one needs a new home.
    Asking $75.00 + shipping.
    Thanks
    Ralph

If this is the one you can load sectionals into I am interested! There are a lot of restricted airspaces near Tidewater. That's why I tend to fly south and west only. Too danged many fighters and military helicopters to the north.

      Hank:
Not sure if you can load sectionals or not. My advice would be to check the Garmin website for this information. If you know the boundaries of the/your Class B or C by using the sectional coupled with the GPS, you should be in good shape. That's the procedure I used to navigate through Class B & C in my travels.... even through NYC corridor !!!.
