  • L/F float fittings or drawings for

Looking for drawings & specs to make up a set of float fittings for my T-craft while it's at bare frame.
Anybody have a set or plans they're willing to share?
$600 for a store bought pair just seems a little stiff.

Just buy the weld on tabs from Wag Aero....they work fine....You can call Baumann Floats and ask how much he wants for the Clamp-Ons....I have a set of those too and they also work fine. The Atlee Dodge are nice but...like you said...pricey.

I can sell you the clamp on fitting from Baumann along with an almost new set of 1500 Baumann floats, only 27 hrs on them. I purchased the floats new in May of 2009, and had the Baumann float factory install them on my t-craft, and now purchased an amphib. float plane. I have had lots of interest in the airplane, but not with the floats, so I am going to offer them seperately and see how much interest I get. 701-644-2618 if interested

        $600 was Baumanns price

Cropduster: Appreciate the offer but not prepared to buy the floats right now.
Just want fittings on before I start the cover job.

We are about to wrap fabric on F-19 SN 147 and are looking for the best option for float fittings. From the info on this post, I checked the Atlee Dodge fittings and they look pretty good. Now, is there an installation drawing to reference? I don't plan to put it on floats quite yet, but just want to make sure it is ready. Also, do the different brands of floats use the same fittings? I assume so, but I'm covering new ground now with the whole float thing.

Also, does anyone know the status of Baumann these days? Has there been any news from Basler since the acquisition?

          Thanks,
          Tom

Contact Atlee dodge, he has both weld on and clamp on. Tim

Re: L/F float fittings or drawings for

Thanks Tim. I have contacted them, and they have the weld on fittings (which is what I want) but no drawings to reference for accurate location. I know they go on the cluster weld, but it seems there should be a precise measurement, referenced in a drawing. Also thanks to the a few others who have talked with me on the phone and offered encouragement on the project.

Rumors abound that the Baumann 1500's may be back in production next year, but all of us in the Tcraft world know about those kind of rumors...
