Before I get started on rebuilding my junk fin, does anyone have a pre-war (three hinge) fin they will part with? The fin itself has two hinges on it.
Mikeg
Mike,
I think I have one in the barn from my 41. It was the one that was on her when she went over on her back in the wind storm. The "roof" and the fin/rudder took the load so it has been bent over. Haven't looked at it for years but can dig it out if you don't get a better one.

I'll have to look for it this weekend if I can get out to the airport. I'll take some pictures when I find it.
As for cost, whatever it costs to ship it to you. Not like I'm going to build a twin tail Taylorcraft. I guess we could call it a Tails-or-craft.

Nothing digital. It is in a book on Ercoupes. I've had five. Great airplane. Almost as cool as a T. Any luck on the fin? Got any idea what the shipping would run to Indianapolis?

Can't believe it but we had ANOTHER snow storm here! This is south east Virginia for cripes sake. We normally get 1/4" of snow A YEAR here and it melts off before lunch. Someone needs to find Al Gore and have a LOOONG talk with him.
Short answer is I haven't been able to get to the hangar or the barn to get my old one. I'll make another shot this week and try and post some pictures of it to make sure you want to try and fix it.
Sorry for the delay, got the same problem with the Compass logos. More people wanted them than I had from the engraver. He's making more so I can send them all out. Just too many things to do in too little time. I need to retire again and focus on the important stuff. No budget for manned space flight after this year anyway.
Not a problem. It is not as if I am going to cover the fuselage soon. Gore-like to do more that talk to him. Snow-we have had an unreal amount this year-you guys are off the scale.

Got out to the airport today and dug it out of the parts storage area. Unfortunately it is a post war. It isn't in "terrible" shape with the hinge line tube bent and a little rust. If you wanted to weld in a new hinge tube with pre war hinges it should be possible, but not easy to get right without a fixture.
