OK, I know I will be seeing Ray a lot soon (wonder if he has any money left!). Any way that I can get a tracing of the heel guard from you or Carlton? I already have a chunk of SS to make one and new carpet is supposed to be ready this weekend.

Hank, PM me your street address and I'll mail you a tracing of the heel plate before I send it to Carlton. Are you going to try to duplicate the rolled lip around the perimeter, or just do a flat plate?

When Ray Bossola phoned to buy all my spare parts, he said he was getting motivated to finish covering his project, so yes, you Virginia Beach Taylorcraft guys will probably be seeing more of each other...

Re: Heel scuff plate for sale

The old one would be nice to make a real drawing so others can make replacements too. I'm getting quite a collection of parts drawings from my restorations. If I can't find a factory drawing or am going to cover it up "forever", I try to make a drawings for "the next time". They aren't all pretty, but they are made from original parts and can be used to make replacements (especially for parts that aren't supported any more).

If Antonio is still answering the phone at the warehouse in Brownsville, you may be able to buy new factory-made ones, but they want $38.92 for them:

Re: Heel scuff plate for sale

I was just on the factory website, clicked on engine parts, and this is what showed up????:

                  Engine Installation
                  viagra for women,buy tramadol,is tramadol a narcotic,generic viagra,viagra,buy cheap tramadol online,viagra for women,viagra

Looks like the Taylorcraft factory is "branching out", O.T.

Re: Heel scuff plate for sale

I removed the Viagra reference- I doubt it was part of the Taylorcraft inventory.

Thanks for the heads up, I don't get into the website details much, and there are always script kiddies trying to add content to the site....

                      Mike,

On behalf of all of us, thank you for your work creating and still maintaining the taylorcraft.com website. Even if it's not functional at the moment, what parts photos are there continue to be an incredibly useful resource. May the day come again when we can simply click on website photos and order all the Taylorcraft parts we need...
