  • 1946 BC12-D For Sale

    Hey Guys,
    I am selling my 1946 Taylorcraft BC12-D. I purchased it last year to build time in, and now that I have, I need to sell it. She has been a great airplane and served her purpose well, but with a family of three I need to upgrade to a four place. I will let her go to the first $15,000. I am firm on the price. Here are the stats.

    Jonathan Howells

    Totals = Airframe: 2090, Engine: 2841, SMOH: 807, STOH: 289, PROP: 120 Annual due 10/04

    New items include: Wood Sensenich cruise propeller (new bolts and crush plate), E-Z oil heater, all new inspection covers, tailwheel leaf springs and steering arm with springs, main gear shock cords, ELT battery, ignition switch, trim pulley, replaced oil pan gasket, all rocker cover gaskets, all pushrod tubes resealed, new tachometer cable and housing.

    I have flown this airplane over 120 hours since December 2003 and spent over $3000.00 in improvements and maintenance. Oil changes religiously done every 25 hours and all Airworthy Directives complied with. Aircraft recovered and painted in 1981 with Poly Stitts and in good condition. Full custom aircraft covers worth over $2500.00.

      Thanks Craig,
      There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I bought it strictly as an economic airplane to build time in. I flew it from Montana to Texas and back again and didn't have a single problem. I would deliver it for the cost of fuel and oil, as I can jump seat back home for free on the airlines. I would just need a ride to Dallas.
