  • sold my plane, want good project

After four years of rebuilding my flying project, just as I got it flying beautifully and trouble free, I sold it. At least it will stay on the field. Now I want a good project. Engine/prop not an issue, but the plane must be complete and easily restorable.

      Look on Barnstormers.com under Antique/Classic > Taylorcraft

There are a couple of nice looking projects. There's even an F series fuselage and an experimental metal wing kit available, you could make a King Kong 180 T-craft bush-whacker out of.

            Hi Ed,

Are you looking for a 1-2-3, or 4 seater?

Feist was just at the Flynn in Burlington!

            Change in your heart?

            Best,
            Jim

Re: sold my plane, want good project

Jim, If I'd known who she was, I would have gone. I'll get the album, just want to start over with a good TCraft project. I like the plane. Flew a Luscomb this weekend, nice plane and fast, but honestly does not handle as nicely as my TCraft.

Kevin, I'll call you soon. Vic as well. Thanks for your postings.

Re: sold my plane, want good project

                  Len,

You do know that you can downgrade your license to an Ultralight Permit and fly any airplane (certified or not) with a gross weight of 1200 lbs max and a stall speed below 45 mph. The Medical would then be a Class 4 - Self Declared.

You need to do this before you fail your medical since after that I don't think a self declared will work.

Don't forget about Karl Hiebert - Paraplegic who flew across canada in an Ultralight.

                  Please don't stop flying.

                  Andy
