    For sale: Tailbrace wires

I have a set of 4 used tailbrace wires, complete with half-moon fittings, nipples and lock nuts to suit a 3-hinge equipped Model B.

Some minor corrosion, these were purchased new from Lock Haven in December 1991, and have about 500 hours use. I am replacing with stainless wires.

    Two are 36 1/2 " long, the other two are 40 1/2 " long

I also have a set of NOS stainless nipples that would suit these wires.

    Bob,

How much are you asking? I need the lower set but I will buy the entire set.

No, not from the factory, Buck.

I had eight sets made up by Bruntons in Scotland (who are the only supplier of stainless round and streamline tie-rods, I think). There are no sets left, all eight were manufactured to order for specific people.

Might I ask how much they went for? Perhaps there would be enough interest here to fund another batch..........?

Buck, we paid about £180 per set (about $340 at today's exchange rate), which included 17.5% UK sales tax (VAT).

                Rob,

Thanks for the info. I'll have to wait awhile, but it sounds like a good idea.

                Best,

                  Tail Wires

Thats a good price Robert, I paid over twice that to have a set made for my T-Craft. (All the hardware was included.)
