The last place I seen an aluminum wing tank was at the factory in Texas. Give them a call. I was working there a few years ago in Lagrange. They were good new tanks but I don't know if they are still available from that source. Winston

Just in case the factory deal doesn't happen...........anyone know what type and thickness of aluminum the original tanks were made out of? I may have to have one made. (experimental of course)

If you don't mind mt asking, how much is the price for a new wing tank?
I just posted an Ebay auction (not mine) that lists tail brace wires, but it also has a set of wing tank straps included.

Of course, using the "Owner Produced Parts" system allows for what you describe without the need for using the "E" word.

They quoted me $410 for a 6-gal wing tank, but I have yet to see it.

Thanks for the info, but I'm building a clip-wing, so I'll be experimental anyway.

So if the factory doesn't come thru, then I may see if I can make one and have it welded. But I need to find out the type of aluminum and thickness, etc.

I have 2 tanks no corrosion ,L,R for a 12d 200 ea plus shipping from 31088 478 953 3527. can't send e mail, its locked up with a error.
