I have been flying my plane to a nearby airport to practice landings, after landing I taxied back to depart, on the takeoff run i lost control and the plane slid off the side of the runway. the grass looked high but smooth and I thought I'd be all right, little did I know that there was a 2' ditch in the grass, so I ended up nose down in soft mud. the wing tip didn't touch and the engine was at 400 rpm's low idle. but still I had the plane towed to a shop and my A&P looked at it, found the bent wheel strut, and was gearing up to rebuild my engine, WELL the insurrance company says they will total her. for a bent wheel strut and potential prop strike. theres nothing wrong with the engine or the crank. now t5he A&P says something is loose in the wing. so now I know they will total it.
it will be on the Mclarens aviation website for bid, new garman radio, good engine, compressions were 80-80-76-80 I have pics of it for the anual. I'm tired of this fight with this particular aircraft, so I won't be buying it back, but there are some great parts on it especially the engine, which was restarted and ran perfectly after the incident.
thanks to all those for their advice, I wish you all the best
