I know, this should be in the for sale section of the forum but I wanted to tell the whole story. Since the installation of the C-90 in my L-2B, I no longer need my A-65 props and hubs. I was using two quick change props and hubs, the wood one for winter to keep the exposed engine a little warmer and the metal one for summer when a little better performance is needed. It was easy to change out the pre-bolted props and hubs. I'm keeping the metal prop as I may be able to use it as a spare for the C-90 if I cut it down. I may also be able to use full length of that prop when I get the float STC. I currently use a wood prop summer and winter on the C-90 as there is plenty of performance summer and winter without changing propellers. I now want to sell the wood prop and two tapered shaft hubs as I see no need for them in the future.
The wood prop is a Falcon (Fahlin) 72-42 propeller in airworthy condition. As you know, propellers do not have to have logs, so condition is everything especially for wood props. It has been on my L-2 since new (the prop, not the airplane) and has always been hangared. The last time it was inspected was by an AI during an annual inspection and was signed off as being airworthy. It has since been stored horizontally in a heater hangar. Of the two hubs, one comes with an inspection certificate and the other does not. Take your chances but as far as I can see the one without the paperwork has no cracks and is airworthy. Neither prop hub comes with a front "crush" plate.
My question to everyone reading this post is,of course, " what is a reasonable price to ask?"
Bob Picard.
