  • Pre-War wheel pant mount needed

Well, after 50 years I finally cracked the left aluminum wheel mount casting on my 1941 BC12-65 DeLux. Before I go to the pain of getting it welded up, bushed, and line reamed, does any one have a spare they can part with? Or maybe a set (L&R).

As an alternative, Dorothy used to furnish an excellent interchangeable pant mount. Similar to Wag Aeros but the material was about 1/8" thick. I appreciate any help.

I have been designing a replacement pant mount that has a welded steel core with a Reinforced epoxy cover to make it look like the old cast pant mounts that crack so much. Interested in working with me? It is a back burner project I only work on when the weather is too bad to go to the airport (and when my wife doesn't have a pile of "honey-dos" for me.

Hey Hank, good to hear from you. Bill Haselton and I cast up a bunch of '41 DeLux casting years ago (50 - lord how time flies). Grills, wheel pant mounts, 3 1/8" compass mount, etc.. Wish I had keep some extras. I would be glad to work with on this. The design sounds good. How can I help?
