    Hey Group

Upon doing my annual this year it was discovered that the tail feathers are rusting out . Anyone out there that has any feathers to sell or know of anyone? Let me know . . . . .

    thanks

        Re: Tail Feathers

Perhaps it's worth mentioning whether you are "two-hinge" or "three-hinge"

                Howdy USAV8OR,

Be sure to check the rudder. There is a possibility that it could be a 3 hinge. I have a '45 that has a '41 fus. with a pre war 3 hinge rudder. As near as I can tell, everything is original and I have all of the logs and all of the numbers match.
                Best Regards

                  Jerry,
I know I have one good set of horizonals but both need the U-channel at the butt end either cleaned good or replaced due to light rust starting but only at the butt end.The rest of them look great but will still need to be cleaned and inspected good.I also have a rudder that needs the bottom curved piece of tubing replace....sorry,no elevators. If you want to come get them or pay shipping then you can have them.

                    Thanks for the reply.

I might just take you up on that offer. I'll do a little more digging around to see if anyone has horz stabs that don't need anything done to them.

                    thanks

If any are left after the fly in ; you can have them....do you need trim tab & mechanism; if not which one do you have.... they are about $75-90 a piece based on condition.
